Keeps You Dry Inside and Out: The Quasar Lite Jacket by Mountain Hardwear [Review]

If you?re looking for a do-anything, lightweight, technology-rich shell for your outdoor adventures this summer, look no further than the Quasar Lite Jacket by Mountain Hardwear. There are so many amazing features packed into this jacket, it?s hard to know where to start.

Simply enough, my most favorite feature of the Quasar Lite is the fit. The sleeves are perfectly long and the bottom hem falls nicely past my hips. The jacket is super mobile, in the fact that it won?t move on you when you?re being active.

Mountain Hardwear has embedded their Dry.Q technology in the Quasar Lite, giving you optimal breathability and waterproofness, while enhancing the air-permeability of the jacket, letting air move from the inside out. Water won?t get through to your skin, and your sweat won?t be trapped. It?s an incredible technology that works extremely well for high alpine adventures or wet days hanging out at camp.

The Quasar Lite is extremely light and packable, which makes it a great jacket for just about any adventure out there. Even though it?s extremely light, the ?40D 2.5L? fabric is very durable, withstanding abuse from anything you could potentially throw at it. Especially if you?re doing a lot of alpine climbing, it?s very important to have all the listed features included in a jacket but what?s the point if on the first rock you rub against, you tear a hole in the jacket. The Quasar Lite will stand up to years of adventure and abuse.

The main pockets are situated slightly high, as they are harness and pack-compatible and also double as core vents. Whether you are heading out to do some intense alpine ascents or taking the dog for a walk in the rain, if the Quasar Lite is in your closet, it?s all you?ll reach for. Once you put it on, the fit will feel so good you won?t want to take it off.
